Event details

This event will be divided into two sessions. Ms Wong Yuen Sam Diana, a doctoral student from the Department of Science and Environmental Studies (SES) of EdUHK, will introduce the eco-garden to the participants. After a short tour, Mr Marco Yan, a HK-based poet will lead a writing workshop as a creative response to Hong Kong writer Ng Hui Bun or Xubin’s ecological writing.

 

Speaker’s Bio

Mr Marco Yan is a Hong Kong-based poet. He earned his MFA in poetry from New York University and an MFA in cross-genre writing from the University of Hong Kong. His works recently appeared in Guernica, Volume Poetry, and Making Space, among other places. He can be found at www.marcoyan.com.

 

Dr Jeffrey Clapp focuses on literature in English, and is writing a book about contemporary literature in the United States. He is director of the large-scale community reading project 我城我書 / One City One Book Hong Kong and general editor of Xi Xi City, a digital humanities project that celebrates the work of Hong Kong's most delightful writer.
